DESCRIPTION:ARTOWN DISCOVER THE ARTS: DISCOVER HANDBELLS\nDiscover the Arts is a free event hosted by Artown for kids ages 6-12\, held every weekday in July. Kids participate in a workshop or performance\, then complete an art project to take home! Each day’s activity is different and parents are welcome to observe. Discover the Arts is held on the McKinley lawn – bring a blanket or sit right on the grass! We will move inside McKinley in case of inclement weather. Bathrooms are available. ***Groups of 6 or more children can only be accommodated on certain days\, and only for the first half of the program. Please call (503) 310-3386 in advance if you would like to bring your group to Discover the Arts***

Step right up and witness an astounding assemblage of handbell musicians execute the most delightful melodies on bronze bells and silver chimes! \nLed by Ringmaster Barb Walsh\, you won’t want to miss the fantastic feats of juggling multiple bells and chimes by Reno’s own Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble!   \nWitness the wondrous sight of flashing bronze bells combined with a menagerie of other instruments – violins and flutes and cellos and oboes and guitars\, oh my! \nMarvel at the magnificent sounds and sights the bell magicians and chime acrobats create as they delicately balance the many genres and textures while weaving their stories throughout the death defying show you won’t want to miss! \nAll performances are free of charge; donations are cheerfully accepted. \nThis concert will also be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/user/renofirstumc1246
